My first piece of 2026 is optimistic, unlike this 𝘛𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘱 I originally encountered four springs ago. I felt trapped at that point in my life and was having a hard time pouring my dwindling creativity into art. But April passed, and right after that, the summer flew by. It was a time for renewal and growth, and I found myself reaching for art once again. That fall, I started working at an art museum. Color has found its way into my life and emboldens this painting.
