This piece held me over through the colossal snowstorm of January 2026. The reference comes from my dad, and the timing could not have been more perfect because I wanted to draw the fields I remember from back home. Many car rides were spent staring out the window, daydreaming with this backdrop: miles and miles of 𝘏𝘢𝘺 𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴. It’s very flat where I come from, but that is what makes the sunsets stand out so much.
