Original artwork, oil pastel

A little escape from miles and miles of fields, the dam in my hometown is fed by the 𝘌𝘭𝘬𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘯 River. Dense grasses and flowers sprout up on the banks, the park being a little slice of paradise in an otherwise dry region. I grew up fishing on that river, swimming in it, watching my best friend catch the tadpoles. The sunsets are always special to witness there, each one more striking than the next. Seeing the sunlight filter through the trees is a vital part of the experience I wanted to capture in this piece.
