Here's a rare painting where my photography isn't used as a reference! This will become a common occurrence, as 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 is the first piece in my birth flowers series. I channeled one of my old paintings—𝘐𝘳𝘪𝘴 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴—into the stems with the dark cobalt blues and yellow-green highlights. The greens are my favorite part of the drawing, yet I also had a lot of fun capturing the depth of petals I've never drawn until now.
